Christmas '10

It was a '10'! All the way around. I love this time of year. I love the music & the decorating & the gift giving. It's even more special now, with our own little family. The days seem to pass more slowly & we have more time with each other. It's a reflective time too. So much to be thankful for... so much to look forward to. We have been so blessed - with the things that matter most. Our family and friends. It's easy to get caught up in all the 'stuff'. But I think we would have been just as happy without anything under the tree this year. At church Christmas Eve, they talked about keeping Christmas with us, all year long. Having that giving and forgiving spirit - not just when we have the tree set up, but all the time. Living for what matters. Not for what we think will make us happy - the promotion, the car, the house, etc. Those 'things' are fleeting & will never make us truly happy. Having a relationship with God, and being in relationship with each other will.

My wish for 2011 is to remember this more often. Be thankful more often. Live in the moment more often.

I thank God for you, every day.
xoxo
