Personal Chef

For our anniversary I hired a chef to come to the house and cook dinner for us. I thought it would be a nice treat for Matt, since he's the chef in the family, and I thought it would be a nice way to enjoy a good meal without having to leave home. (Or having to race back to nurse a baby.)

It started off a little shaky. Chef Cassy was very sweet. She had a little bit of bad luck though. When she pulled the steaks out to prepare them, she realized they were bad. Really bad. Despite the fact that she had bought them that day. (She even showed us the receipt.) So she raced back to Whole Foods, completely embarrassed, to get more meat. They 'upgraded' the steaks, so the ones we ended up with were big enough for a large village of meat eaters. Once that was taken care of things went fairly smoothly… aside from her forgetting a couple key items. Like a knife. And a pot. To her credit though, the food was great. Steaks, broccoli, baby potatoes & chocolate cake.

Mrs. Cassy does catering as well, and also makes prepared meals for families - if you're ever in the market.
It was something different, but I think next time we'll just go to a nice restaurant instead.
