'Cry-Baby Matinee'

Well it's not my favorite term... cry-baby. But you get the idea. Babies welcome. That's what it should be called. Regardless, the mommy group (minus a few we missed dearly!) met up at the Angelika today for a viewing of 'Babies'. The movie follows 4 babies, from different areas of the world, from birth until they start walking.

Re-defining the nonfiction art form, Babies joyfully captures on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.

Exactly. How different our unique cultures are, but yet, how similar - in our birth experiences, our child's development, & our love for our children. Despite a serious wiggle worm on my lap for most of the movie, it was a joy to watch. No make that, because of that wiggle worm on my lap. Thanks for bringing a whole new meaning to my life Levi. And a whole new group of friends. xoxo
